Tracing his roots to ancient kingdoms, Laos is slowly becoming a major tourist attractions in South East Asia. Looking for pristine landscapes and rural lifestyle I visited river villages in the northern mountains, where ancient traditions are still alive among different ethnic groups.I met wonderful people that allowed me into their village homes and private moments, joining them in religious activities and ritual meals (one of those requiring me to drink warm duck blood with peanuts, but that's part of the cultural experience!)
